How to find out which missing screw/part you need?

Finding the right missing screw can be a bit tricky, but here are some steps you can follow to help you identify the screw you need:

  1. Look for any identifying markings or numbers on the object where the screw is missing. Some manufacturers label their products with specific screw sizes or types, which can make it easier to identify the missing screw.
  2. Measure the hole where the screw was supposed to be. You can use a ruler or a caliper to measure the diameter of the hole. This will give you an idea of the size of the screw you need.
  3. Use a screw gauge to determine the size of the screw. A screw gauge is a tool designed to measure the diameter and length of screws. You can purchase a screw gauge at a hardware store or online.
  4. Send us a picture of it, email your photo to contactus@missingscrew.co.uk and we will be able to identify the part you need

Remember, it's always better to err on the side of caution and use a slightly smaller screw than a larger one. A screw that is too large can damage the object or strip the threads, making it difficult or impossible to remove the screw in the future.
